6th International Symposium on Transportation Soil Engineering
in Cold Regions
TRANSOILCOLD 2023
Russian Transport University
2-5 october 2023
Cold regions account for more than 50% of the Earth's land area, making the construction and operation of transportation infrastructure particularly challenging.
The International Symposium on Transportation Soil Engineering in Cold Regions (TRANSOILCOLD), held alternately in China and Russia, always provides an opportunity for researchers and practicing engineers to share research results and experiences in designing, building and operating transportation infrastructure in cold regions.
Dear colleagues, we honor and respect the history of the symposium founded by our colleagues, please note that the conference title has returned to the traditional
6th International Symposium on Transportation Soil Engineering
in Cold Regions TRANSOILCOLD 2023.
Should you need an official letter of confirmation of the conference title, we will be happy to send it to you.
We would like to inform you that in connection with the holiday season, the
organizers of the 6th International Symposium on Transportation Soil
Engineering in Cold Regions TRANSOILCOLD 2023 have decided to extend
the deadline for applications to participate in the event.
The registration period has been extended until February 15th 2023.
The transportation infrastructure of cold regions operates in difficult conditions of periodic freezing and thawing and changes in the properties of permafrost soils
For reconstructed and new transportation facilities, subgrade, artificial structures (railways and roads, pipeline transport), requirements for structural and technological solutions, construction are developed and scientifically substantiated, technical solutions for extreme conditions are implemented, and monitoring is carried out.

The purpose of the TRANSOILCOLD 2023 conference is to highlight a wide range of challenges that arise during the design, construction and operation of transportation facilities in cold regions for designers, builders, infrastructure owners.
The TRANSOILCOLD 2023 conference is being held for the first time in Moscow, at the Russian University of Transport. Previously, it was held in 2013 in Xining (China), 2015 in Novosibirsk (Russia), and 2017 in Guida (China), 2019 in St. Petersburg (Russia) and in 2021 in Zhuhai (China)
